Folkestone

Folkestone Rotunda Beach 1st Sept 1999

Drove down with Nigel and started fishing around 5.30pm

Lovely sunny evening, with a slight SW wind. Low water was due around 11pm .. and although we would be fishing the falling tide, felt that with the previous weeks good weather, there would be a chance of both mackerel and bass ....

Nigel used a J13 for most of the time, whilst I tried with a Krillette, Toby, J9, and J13 .. just to see if the mackerel were about, whilst Nigel could focus just on bass (although I've taken mackerel on a J13 before now!!!)...

Well to cut a long story short ... the sea was DEAD ... I had one small bass chase after the J13 around 6.35pm .. and that was it .... no baitfish, no mackerel, no bass ... NO NOTHING ..

As the light faded we packed up and called it a day around 9pm......
