Guide to Shore Fishing in Jersey

This is only a rough guide to the fishing
that can be expected in the month of : April

After the difficult and restrictive fishing offered during February and March, April normally affords better sport across the island with improved weather conditions.....

Garfish, mackerel, and pollack can be taken on lures and float-tackle, from marks such as White Rock, La Moye, Noirmont, La Saie, La Rosierre, Corbierre, etc..

Other species that start to show, include bass, wrasse, eels and mullet, with dogfish often caught in numbers.
Bream shoals may also start to show around the north and west of the island.

Ray fishing starts to pickup, with small-eyed showing from the northwest coast, such as Plemont, and undulate rays may also be available from St.Catherine's Breakwater.

Conger fishing should improve, with fish coming from the north and south west rocky coasts.
