Noir Mont Tower 9th Aug 2000
GR 608,464

Got up around 3.30am, and drove over to collect Chris around 4.30am ..... drove back to Noirmont, parked the car and walked down to the tower ... we decided to fish from the front of the point as low water was due around 8.30am, and the wind was light and variable, although it was rather foggy. Started fishing just after 5.30am, with plugs, and Chris later set-up a float as well.....

Things looked good, this a number of baitfish in the water and larger fish hitting the surface every so often...

6.05am..... bang..... had a take on the slither .. but lost the fish almost as quickly :-(

6.10am ...... another tug.. but this time the fish was on .... had little difficulty bringing in the 12" pollack .....

6.30am ...... Chris gave out a cry, he was plugging to the left towards the small reef ... he'd had a chasing bass, that failed to strike..... and soon after a smaller bass did the same to him again :-(

7.00am .... had another 12" pollack, this time on a krillete.....

8.15am.... my turn for the chasing bass routine.......

9.30am ...... and again.......

10.30am ...... guess what .... another chasing bass...... aaaaaarrrrrrrrr.....

10.50am ..... just thinking of packing up, when I saw the best bass of the day come straight after my plug..... only problem being I'd run out of space to work it..... tried twitch the lure.... bass came around for the strike.... then did a figure of 8 around the plug and shot off .. :-(

11.15am decided to call it a day and get off before the incoming tide stranded us....
