Guide to Shore Fishing in Jersey

This is only a rough guide to the fishing
that can be expected in the month of : September

Plaice, sole, and red mullet should be increasing in number during this time.... probably worth trying the sandy areas of the NW such as around Plemont and Greve de Lecq... plus small-eyed rays from the same region. Black bream may be encountered, esp over the small reefs and headlands.

Undulate rays should also be starting to appear with larger fish coming from such places as the end of St.Catherine's Breakwater.

Bass fishing both by plug and through general shore fishing tactics should prove to be productive, as should fishing for Ballan Wrasse from rocky marks....

Triggerfish are a possibility from Belcroute round to Noirmont, La Moye, as well as St.Catherine's Breakwater.
